Nottingham, the 27th November 2004

Hello everybody,
First part...
This week end , we have been very busy... First of all, we decided with our homemates to visit Nottingham.



This city is situated about 1h30 of the South of York. After the wake up of Frode
( just 30 min before de departure!!! Because I have knocked at his door!!), we took the bus near Halifax College at 9h45 am. The way was not so long but with the tire it seemed a little. We arrived at 11h15 am and the return was envisaged at 5.00 pm, so the trip was very short.

First we saw the castle of Nottingham...



A simple castle without garden ( not very beautiful!!)


But we have to remember that Nottingham is the city of Robin Hood...In fact we could go to the Sherbook Forest but it was a little far so we will visit it next time.But of course we have a lot of pictures with our handsome Robin Hood








Inside of the castle was not very interesting...In reallity hardly anyone looked very deeply to inside. We were walking and talking. I(Cemile) learned that Sosso hates to visit some museum so we talked too...but there were some arts (!!!) interesting.

Renata had broken an odd thing wich is indescribable...
To explain how we were serious in the museum we can talk about what we did when, in the middle we found speciale area for children with some pencil drawing and papers. CHristophe and us, we began to draw...Everybody had to draw what he was thinking about...So Christophe drawed a beer, Sosso their house, younger court E and Cemile a christmas tree with some stars. We singed them and gave to Johannes for his birthday :)

After this instructive museum, we walked to the city center to see the market of Christmas, but the market was so small.



And it was very difficult to taste delicacy. It is better in Grenoble!!!! ...Say Sosso but I (Cemile ) think that we could find some thing to taste...:)






But Christophe and Frode have tasted german sausage with bread...


After this beautiful market we divided in two groups. One wanted to visit and learn more about Nottingham so they went to see some church and the cave .








The second group wanted to go to the shopping...Because Sosso had decided to buy a skirt and Frode wanted a pant...So at 2.00 pm, after the market shops we began to test skirts in the first shop. The skirts were so nice but so large with the smallest skirts ( size 26!!!!). So it was impossible to buy a skirt.





It was very funny to try them and to take some pics...The guys was waiting for us but the guys, in generale times get use to wait while the shopping so ...:)
But with Renata as for the girls, the moments of wait was very much...In fact she has the "illness of shopping"...SHe tries and tries again and tries and she wants to buy but she can't ...She saw in the second shop a top for 90 pounds!!! Impossible to buy but she wanted so much...She turned the idea of buying over in her mind several times...At the end she had the good raisoning and didn't buy...But she found a red skirt for her birthday and Frode a pant for 5 pounds both so we can resume that the shopping was useful...:)



At 3.00 pm we walked through the city, the shops during 2 hours. The city was not very beautiful... a lot of red building very industrial... The structures are old and there is a lack of monument. But it 's a good city for shopping if you have got a big wallet!!!

In fact we like our little and cute city with its small red home and greeness...We saw 3 cities of England and we prefered always our lovely York :)You can say that we dont go to the city center very often but nevermind when we are there we are happy and we have the impression that we are at the right place, like at home...:)
Yes, last week we forgot to add the item about "strange british people" because we think that we get use to live with them...You will not believe but sometimes we walk in the campus without our jacket...We understood that to have the sun in our bone we have to take off all the clothes what are more...:)And it was 8 degree when we were walking, last week with our t-shirt...do you ask to us if we are crazy? Of course because we decided to change the country as an erasmus student ...:)
Nevermind, if we continue to talk about Nottingham...There were a lot of industrial building but a lot of christmas tree too :)




And we had taken a lot of pictures of beautiful Nottingham in spite of its industrialisation...













So happy because he, finally, drink his coffee...:)

We took the bus by 5 pm and we think that the return was more long...Sosso slept on the shoulder of Christophe and felt down from her seat but We think that it's the only think to say about the return's road.

Finally, we came back at 7.15 pm, just the time to prepare the party for the birthday of Renata and Johannes....

Today it's first of december...I can't believe...When Johannes said me this morning that the 4.12 is this saturday i was very suprized...Nevermind I have a little problem...I lost my proteins...IN fact the machines ate my proteins i don't know why now i try to convice him to give me them back but i think it will take several times...I came to my dear lab at 9:30 am and now it's 4.44 pm and i really want to leave this beautiful area...I have Sosso talking me by msn and she said me that she probably killed her cells...I think it's not a good day for experince today ...:)This night, after this sweet lab's adventure we will cook a cake with steph and we will go to Carlo's house to eat italian food :) Normally i had to teach french to Oddie but i think it will not be possible with my proteins who are affraid of me and were hiding in the column of the machine....Ok i shut up and let u read our saturday night...Or look at the pictures ...I think they explain very well our party and our happiness :)
